New York Pet Fashion Show 2014 Photos

New York Pet Fashion ShowDogsized covered last night’s 2014 New York Pet Fashion show which was a sight to be seen! A flurry of dogs and their owners dressed to the nines in regal costumes, crowns and gowns – a new twist on the Tutors.

The evening was kicked off by the event co-chairs, Gregg Oehler and Ada Nieves. The New York Pet Fashion Show isn’t only about pet fashion, but is also a rescue benefit. The program started off with a runway show of rescue dogs (all available for adoption) in elaborate attire. These shelter dogs having never been on a stage before (some even being recently saved from a puppy mill), walked the runway (with their volunteer handlers) as if they’ve been always been professional dog models. They came from a variety of shelters in the New York metropolitan area from Bideawee to ACC.

New York Pet Fashion ShowNumerous vendors from across the globe were also at the event selling their items for dogs from dog wine and apparel to dog jewelry and beds. Vendors also took to the stage to have their dogs model products, including spa wear and a priceless diamond dog collar designed by Candy Udell from London Jeweler’s, creator and designer of the famous $2.5 million dollar bra for the Victoria’s Secret Angels show.

New York Pet Fashion Show 2014The pinnacle of the evening was the Royalty Costume Contest. Countless designers, dogs and their owners lined up to attain the honor of being the “King or Queen of the Royalty Costume Contest”. Pictures are worth a thousand words – we have some photos here, but are also putting together a photo gallery so you can see all the fantastic designs. Celebrities from Miss California to Andrea Arden participated in the show and Maria Milito from Q104.3 MCed. The New York Pet Fashion Show is produced by Oehler Media Inc.

Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade Photos

It was amazing as usual, check out our photos in the gallery below:

It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon and Tompkins Square Park was packed to the gills. The 2013 Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade did not disappoint and yet again truly raised the bar on doggie Halloween outfits. Kobi, dressed as Indiana Jones (sans hat as he hates hats) and masculine, was ready to check out the scene.

After taking the subway and walking over to the park, we could see the crowds – dogs and owners in costumes were lined up around the fence to the area where the judging was taking place.  Kobi was having a ball meeting and sniffing all the other dogs, but was a bit concerned having to dodge all the humans that were around.

We saw loads of costumes outside the arena and then went into the inner part of the park where the judging is. This is just an amazing sight of dogs and owners, that have obviously spent a lot of time and thought into these costumes. Not to mention, it’s absolutely hilarious! Once you’re in the inner park, contestants for the Dog Halloween Costume Contest line up at least twice around the stage. We were there to check out the scene, not to win an award. Seeing all these costumes was award enough for us.

There was loads of press and as such we’ve included the photos here from other media outlets, which we think came out really well. As you can imagine, it’s hard to take great photos when there’s a huge crowd of people and dogs in a small space.

Fetch Club Party: Kobi and Fiesta loved it!

Fetch Club PartyWe went to the Fetch Club party to celebrate their grand reopening on Wednesday. It was loads of fun and very well attended by both humans and dogs. We tried to take loads of other photos, but they all came out blurry. The dogs were clearly enjoying it so much that they had no time to stop and pose for the camera. Luckily, there was a photographer at the Fetch Club party: welovephotobooths.com and they snapped a great photo of Kobi, Fiesta and myself.

We would love to thank Fetch Club and their partners for the amazing gift bags. Kobi is still working his way through all the treats. So far, he loves the Vital Essentials pure raw and of course we love the Earth Rated poop bags!
