Dog Gone Smart
I LOVE my Dirty Dog Doormat! – Kobi

This year during the Global Pet Expo, we came across the brand Dog Gone Smart. First we fell in love with their Dog Gone Smart Repelz-It Dog Jackets, which we highlighted in our Global Pet Expo review.

Then one of their super nice reps, Jaimee, came up to us and told us about their Dirty Dog Doormats, which apparently soaks up to 7 times its weight in mud and water as well as dries 5x faster than ordinary door mats.

Dirty_Dog_DoormatDog Gone Smart was so kind to send us out one to test. Clearly, we’re not a scientific lab, but the Dirty Dog Doormat was very absorbent and dried really fast. It’s plush, velvety soft and has a non-skid backing to help it stay in place (if your dog isn’t digging in it).

What we didn’t expect is that our dog Kobi LOVED this doormat so much that we’ve replaced it as his full time dog bed – a delightful surprise!

Dirty Dog Doormat
It’s just so comfy!

Dog Gone Smart doesn’t promote this product as a dog bed, but our dog would highly recommend it as something super fabulous and comfortable to lay on. It is very soft, but also durable. Often Kobi “digs on it” until it’s in that perfect place for him to cuddle on. Surprisingly he’s liked this doormat more than some of the plush beds we’ve tested.

We’re not sure if this says something more about our dog than the Dirty Dog Doormat, but regardless, our dog gives the Dirty Dog Doormat a huge thumbs (or shall we say paws) up!
